speed workout

I was in the sports ground this morning. The track workout was done in the morning, It was 28 degrees or so. Still the lanes were still wet because of the rain last night.

After some basic stretches , I was into a warm-up 2.4K :15' 14". A break of 3'30 followed.
Then there were 9 times 400m @rest 90 secs
1'44, 1'46, 1'48.1'51, 1'52,1'52,1'56, 1'54, 1'53, (1'31)
Lastly, 2.4K cool down :14'47

It was strenuous but not so lung searing as such.

Met a fellow called ah Shing ( in his mid -50s) who asked me some advice on the strength of legs . I told him to do some LSD to build up a base . He was taken aback by my admission of approaching 65 this week.

In the afternoon I was informed by Taipo sports association my application would not be accepted unless I had medical certificate. He admitted the application form requirement did not spell out clearly where to draw the line of counting when the 65 would be.

I felt it was no point arguing any further. I later proceeded to see Dr Ng and spent $160 expressly for this purpose.

Here are some thoughts on the likes found on Marathon World app. Some nuts just do not serious with their training. Instead every single moment they look at their phones and hit the like button indiscriminately.

They will always be the ones who heap on praises whenever some runners performed well during the races. They spend their times wantonly. Just go and get a life which is not just running. Hit a mile and do something substantially instead.

The clips on You tube are always inspiring. It was great to see the world class runners pushing their limits. They let me learn the running drills, see how the elite runners do their training. Above all their admirable performances in the races are just as great.
